The marina is Port Ghalib's working centre and the closest thing the resort has to a town square. Yachts, dive boats, and liveaboards use the harbour, while the surrounding promenade has the usual resort mix of cafes, shops, and evening strolling.
It is not a historic waterfront, so keep expectations realistic. Its value is practical and atmospheric: this is where you get a feel for the Red Sea trip economy before heading out to the reefs.
