Quartier Louis is Libreville's nightlife district, just north of the centre. The streets between the Boulevard Triomphal and the boulevard du bord de mer are lined with bars, clubs and a handful of restaurants that run late. The crowd is mixed — Gabonese, French expats, Lebanese, West African — and the music ranges from coupé-décalé to French house.
Daylight hours it is quiet and not very interesting; the action starts after ten. Taxis back to your hotel are easy until late.
