Knightsbridge War Cemetery

Knightsbridge War Cemetery lies west of Tobruk near Acroma, in open desert country connected with the armoured battles of 1942. It contains thousands of Commonwealth graves, many of them men who died in the fighting around the Knightsbridge defensive box.

The setting is deliberately exposed: low walls, the Cross of Sacrifice, and a wide horizon of scrub and stone. If you are following the battlefield routes west of Tobruk, this is one of the most important stops.
