Manchewe Falls is Livingstonia's natural showpiece, a high waterfall dropping from the escarpment into a forested gorge. The walk there is part of the pleasure, passing villages, fields, and sudden views toward Lake Malawi.
Go with a local guide if you want the safest route and the best viewpoints. Paths can be slippery, and the gorge is not a place to test your balance for a photograph.
