El Mamghar

El Mamghar is a small Imragen village a few kilometres up the coast from Nouamghar, and the most accessible of the seven Imragen settlements within Banc d'Arguin National Park. It is essentially a cluster of wooden shacks and a beach lined with the brightly painted lanche fishing boats that the Imragen use.

There is nothing in the way of facilities — no shops, no formal accommodation — but the village is the practical base for visits to the park and to see the dolphin fishing. Some tour operators arrange overnight stays in basic Imragen huts as part of multi-day Banc d'Arguin tours.
