The factory outlet sells quality wool and cotton knitwear — sweaters, cardigans, pullovers, scarves — at prices considerably lower than the same items fetch in resort boutiques around the island. The brand has been operating since 1949 and its products are exported across Europe and the Indian Ocean region.
The outlet is worth a visit even if knitwear isn't your priority, if only to understand why Curepipe and the plateau have long been Mauritius's textile and manufacturing centre. The cool altitude makes wool a practical purchase here in a way it wouldn't be on the coast. Best visited as part of a morning in Curepipe rather than a standalone trip.
