Adunni Olorisha Trust

The Adunni Olorisha Trust was established to preserve the work and legacy of Suzanne Wenger, the Austrian artist who became a Yoruba priestess and spent five decades creating and restoring the Sacred Grove's artworks. Wenger was known locally as Adunni Olorisha — "the one who treasures the gods" — and her adopted home and studio in the city centre is now a museum and cultural foundation.

The trust maintains Wenger's former house, which is filled with her paintings, sculptures, and personal effects, along with documentation of her extraordinary journey from Vienna to Oshogbo and her transformation into one of the central figures in Yoruba spiritual life. The trust also runs educational programmes and supports ongoing maintenance of the Sacred Grove sculptures. Visiting here adds important context to the grove itself.
