The livestock market is the busiest part of Baligubadle on its trading days. Camels, goats, and sheep are brought in from the surrounding Hawd, sold, and either trekked back out or loaded onto trucks heading north to Hargeisa and Berbera for export to the Gulf states.
It is a working market rather than a tourist attraction. Visitors are usually tolerated if you are respectful, ask before taking photographs of people, and stay clear of the bidding. Mornings are the best time to come.
