Monkeyland is a forest sanctuary for rescued and ex-captive primates, visited on guided walks rather than through cages. It is one of Plett's better family-friendly stops because the animals move through the trees around you.
Go with the right expectation: this is animal welfare tourism, not a wilderness encounter. Combined with Birds of Eden, it makes an easy half-day east of town.
