The Skanes-Monastir airport halt is a stop on the Sahel metro, the coastal commuter line that connects Sousse, Monastir, and the resort strip in between. Trains call roughly every half hour in daylight, with the run to Monastir Gare Habib Bourguiba taking under ten minutes and Sousse about thirty.
It's a short walk from the airport terminal — useful for arriving travellers who want to avoid taxi-stand bargaining, and for resort guests heading into Monastir's medina or up to Sousse for the day. Buy a ticket from the window or machine on the platform; fares are very cheap by European standards.
