The Sports Club is the town's social hub. Its cricket ground has hosted internationally televised matches against New Zealand, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan after a major renovation that brought it up to a standard rarely seen in towns of Kwekwe's size. There is also a rugby pitch, tennis courts, and a bar that doubles as the informal information centre for the wider Midlands province.
If you are passing through Kwekwe on a weekend during the cricket season it is the easiest place to land a beer and a conversation. The club is welcoming to visitors and the views across the well-kept grounds make it one of the most pleasant spots in town.
