Bibi Begni Mosque

Restored single-domed mosque west of the Sixty Dome Mosque compound.

Bibi Begni Mosque is one of the smaller 15th-century mosques scattered through the old Khalifatabad landscape. It is a square, single-domed brick building, restored enough to read clearly but still quiet enough to feel like part of the village rather than a museum exhibit.

The appeal is in the scale. After the heavy mass of the Sixty Dome Mosque, Bibi Begni gives you a closer look at the same Bengal Sultanate vocabulary: thick brick walls, corner turrets, arched entrances, and a compact prayer hall.
