Khan Jahan Ali Mausoleum

Pilgrimage tomb of the Sufi founder of Bagerhat's old mosque city.

Khan Jahan Ali's mausoleum is the living religious heart of Bagerhat. The 15th-century Sufi saint and administrator founded Khalifatabad, and his tomb remains a major pilgrimage place, with visitors coming to pray, leave offerings, and sit beside the large tank.

It is less architecturally dramatic than the Sixty Dome Mosque, but it explains why the city still matters locally. Bagerhat is not just an archaeological site; it is a remembered sacred landscape.
