The Sixty Dome Mosque is the main monument of Bagerhat and one of the strongest pieces of medieval Islamic architecture in Bangladesh. Built in the 15th century under Khan Jahan Ali, it is a long, severe brick building with corner towers, thick walls, and a roof broken into dozens of small domes.
Inside, rows of stone columns divide the prayer hall into a cool, shadowed grid. The architecture is not delicate, but it is powerful: a frontier mosque-city translated into brick, pond, and open ground.
