Teknaf Beach is part of the long Cox's Bazar coast, but it feels much more remote than the main resort strip. Fishing boats sit on the sand, the hills come close to the shore, and local families arrive around sunset.
Do not expect polished facilities or solitude in the romantic sense; motorbikes and snack stalls can break the quiet. Still, the beach is a good place to understand Teknaf's geography, with the Bay of Bengal on one side and the border hills never far away.
