The Koh Kong Bridge stretches almost two kilometres across the wide mouth of the Kaoh Pao River. When it opened in 2002 it was the longest bridge in Cambodia. Walk or cycle across at dusk for views down the estuary toward the Gulf of Thailand and back to the mangroves.
The bridge replaced a rough ferry crossing that used to take an hour; it cut the Phnom Penh–Bangkok overland time dramatically and is the reason Koh Kong became a popular border post.
