A small Catholic church just off Renmin Lu in the old town — one of the most architecturally interesting buildings in Dali for the way it fuses Bai roof and exterior design with a Western basilica interior. Easy to miss from outside, since it looks like just another courtyard compound; the cross above the gate is the only hint.
Sunday morning Mass is still celebrated here, and visitors are welcome outside service hours. The interior is small but striking — wooden beams, painted icons, and the Gothic floor plan inside what looks from outside like any other Bai temple. Free; opening hours vary, but mornings are usually safe.
