Nagoa is the most popular beach on Diu island, a gentle horseshoe of sand lined with hoka palms. The sheltered shape keeps the water calm enough for swimming most of the year, making it one of the safer beaches along this stretch of coast. Water sports operators offer jet skiing and parasailing, though the real appeal is the laid-back atmosphere — Diu's prohibition-free status (unusual for Gujarat) means you can buy a cold beer at the shacks along the sand.
The beach is about 7 km from Diu town. Auto-rickshaws make the trip easily. It gets busy on weekends and holidays with visitors from the mainland, but on weekdays you may have long stretches to yourself.
