Querim (also spelled Keri) is the long sandy beach immediately across the river mouth from Tiracol, on the southern bank of the estuary. It is one of the quietest stretches of sand in north Goa — long, broad, mostly empty, backed by a row of casuarina trees that give some shade and shelter. A handful of seasonal shacks at the northern end serve fresh seafood, cold beer, and the usual Goan beach menu.
The small flat-bottomed ferry between Querim jetty and Tiracol jetty crosses the river every twenty minutes during daylight hours and takes vehicles as well as foot passengers — one of the more pleasant short boat rides in Goa, with the fort rising above on the far bank. Querim is also a good walk south down the beach towards Arambol if you fancy a longer barefoot stretch.
