Takhteshwar Temple sits on a small hill above Bhavnagar, which makes it both a shrine and the city's best informal viewpoint. The white marble temple was built in Gujarati style, with carved pillars and a broad courtyard reached by steps from below.
Come late in the afternoon if you can. The temple is active, locals gather here in the evening, and the view stretches across Bhavnagar toward the Gulf of Khambhat.
