Victoria Park is a protected urban forest on the edge of Gaurishankar Lake, only a few minutes from central Bhavnagar. The municipal corporation describes it as one of India's older human-made forests, created in 1888 for Maharaja Takhtasinhji.
For travellers, it is the city's best breathing space: walking paths, birds, butterflies, old trees, and a reminder that Bhavnagar has more texture than traffic and industry.
