Our Lady of Lourdes Church stands near the old college quarter and adds a Gothic Catholic note to a city better known for Hindu temples. Its spire, stained glass, and pointed arches make it one of Trichy's most recognisable colonial-era buildings.
It is an easy stop near the centre, especially if you are already visiting Rockfort. Step inside quietly if the church is open; the cool interior is a relief after the heat and traffic outside.
