City Forest stretches along the western bank of the Hindon River in the Karhera area. The park covers around 200 acres of mature trees, a boating lake, jogging tracks, and a small natural area with peacocks and the occasional jackal. It is one of the more substantial green spaces in the National Capital Region and noticeably quieter than the Delhi parks.
Best early in the morning, when there are walkers and bird-watchers but few day-trippers. Some sections close after sunset.
