A historic Devi temple at Dasna, an old fortified village now subsumed by Ghaziabad's eastward sprawl. The temple is dedicated to a form of the goddess Durga and draws steady crowds during Navratri. The setting — at the foot of a small hill, with a step well and an old neem grove — gives it a quieter character than the more modern temples in the city centre.
The Dasna fort was held in turn by the Marathas, the British and the rebels of 1857, and traces of the old walls still stand. Easy to combine with a short walk through the village's narrow lanes.
