A natural lake a few kilometres northwest of Khorramabad, set in the folds of the Zagros foothills. The lake is small but scenic, and is a popular destination for Khorramabad residents in the evenings and on weekends. The surrounding area has picnic spots and walking paths.
Keeyow is the closest easy day trip from the city and takes about 20 minutes by taxi. In spring the surrounding hillsides are green; in summer the lake level can drop significantly in the heat. The bird life around the water is worth a look for anyone interested in raptors and waders.
