Takatenjin Castle Ruins mark one of the major Sengoku-period battle sites around Kakegawa. The castle was fought over by Tokugawa Ieyasu and Takeda Katsuyori, and the remains are best visited as a history-minded side trip rather than a polished castle reconstruction.
