Nezu Memorial Museum occupies the former home of Nezu KaichirÅ, a businessman whose interests included many railway companies, most famously Tobu Railway. The house, storehouses, garden, and exhibits give the city a polished cultural stop beyond its orchards.
It is a good counterpoint to Seihakuji: less ancient, more domestic, and useful for understanding the local wealth that grew in the basin during modern Japan's railway age.
