Takeda Castle Ruins are Asago's great sight. The buildings are gone, but the stone walls still crown the ridge above Takeda, giving the site a clean, powerful outline against the surrounding mountains.
On the right autumn mornings, low cloud fills the valley and the ruins appear to float above it. Even without the cloud effect, the climb is worthwhile for the views and the scale of the walls.
