Sapporo Beer Kyushu Hita Brewery is a large modern brewery on the south side of town, set where the company can use Hita's clear water. It is not as atmospheric as Mameda-machi or Onta, but the tour and tasting room make it a solid stop for anyone interested in Japanese beer.
Check current tour days before going, as brewery access can change. If tours are running, it is an easy taxi ride from central Hita and a useful counterpoint to the town's older craft traditions.
