Ishidake Observatory is smaller and quieter than Tenkaiho, but the view is excellent: islands layered one behind another across the western sea. It is a good second stop if you are chasing photographs around Kujukushima, and it gives a more intimate sense of how close the islands sit to Sasebo's urban edge.
