Yonehara Palm Tree Groves protect a stand of Yaeyama palms, a local species associated with Ishigaki and the southern Ryukyus. A short path leads through the greenery to a viewing deck.
It is not a long outing, but it is a worthwhile nature stop if you are already exploring the north side of Ishigaki, especially together with Kabira Bay or nearby coastal viewpoints.
