The slope below Kawai Mountain Pass is planted with about twenty weeping cherry trees. They usually bloom from late March into mid April, around a week after the ordinary cherry trees lower down.
It is a seasonal stop rather than a major sight, but the hillside setting makes the blossom more dramatic than a flat roadside planting. Come during the bloom window and combine it with other stops around Mima.
