Angel Road is a sandbar that appears at low tide, letting you walk from Shodoshima to a chain of small islets just offshore. It is heavily marketed as a romantic spot, but the tide trick itself is simple and satisfying.
Check the tide before going. At the wrong hour it is just water and a viewpoint; at the right one it is one of the island's easiest short walks.
