A quiet linear park along the Shinmachi River in central Tokushima, on the site of the wharves where indigo barges once unloaded their bales. The name Aiba — "indigo wharf" — survives in the surrounding neighbourhood, and a row of restored Meiji-period merchant houses faces the water.
The park is busiest in late July during the Tokushima Indigo Festival, when the riverside fills with stalls and demonstrations of traditional dyeing.
