Asamushi Aquarium is Aomori's main aquarium, set northeast of the city near Asamushi Onsen. It has marine-life exhibits, a transparent underwater tunnel, and regular dolphin shows, making it one of the easier family stops in the area.
It pairs well with a visit to Asamushi Onsen or a slower day on the coast outside central Aomori.
