Failaka Island Resort

The main visitor facility on the island, with accommodation and ferry access

The government-developed resort on Failaka's western end is the island's only organised tourism facility — a cluster of chalets, a small hotel, a café, and beach access. It is modest by Gulf standards but functional, and staying overnight allows you to see the island at dawn and dusk, when the light is better and the day-tripping crowds from the ferry have left.

The resort is the arrival point for ferries from Ras Salmiya. A hire car or golf cart is the practical way to get around the island, which is too spread out to explore on foot if you want to see all three main historical sites in a day. The resort can arrange this.
