Triveni Ghat

Triveni Ghat is the confluence of the Narayani and Rapti rivers at the southern edge of town. It is a pleasant spot for an hour — locals come here at dusk to bathe and perform small rituals, and the sandy riverbanks offer views across the water toward the Chitwan forest. A Hindu shrine marks the meeting point of the two rivers, which is considered auspicious.

The name Triveni refers to the confluence of three rivers (the third being the invisible Saraswati, believed by Hindus to flow underground). This is not a major pilgrimage site compared to those further north, but it is authentic and calm.
