The Karoonjhar Hills are the low pink-granite range that gives Nagarparkar its shape. They are not high mountains, but in the flatness of Thar they feel abrupt and theatrical, especially near sunrise or sunset when the rock warms in colour.
The hills hold shrines, seasonal streams, viewpoints, and paths used by local communities. Do not treat them as a casual solo hike: go with local advice, avoid the middle of the day, and respect active religious places.
