The shrine is the reason Sehwan matters. Lal Shahbaz Qalandar was a 13th-century Sufi saint, and his tomb has become one of Pakistan's most important places of devotion, with Sindhi tilework, mirror work, a gilded dome, and a constant flow of pilgrims.
Come with patience and respect rather than a checklist. The Thursday evening dhamal, when drumming and devotional dance fill the shrine precinct, is the most powerful time to visit, but even a quieter hour gives you a strong sense of why Sehwan has drawn people for centuries.
