Sogod Bay is the great blue space south and east of Bontoc, better known for diving farther down the coast around Padre Burgos and Pintuyan. From Bontoc it is more background than headline, but it shapes the weather, views, and seafood culture of the town.
If diving or whale-shark trips are the goal, Bontoc is not the usual base. Use it as a road stop, then continue toward the dedicated dive towns on the bay.
