Sagot Beach is not famous because it is soft and pretty. Its sand is unusually fine and firm at low tide, forming a broad surface that was used as a natural runway. That odd physical fact is what makes it memorable.
The beach is protected as a Korean natural monument, so treat it as a geological sight first and a swimming beach second. It is best at low tide, when the scale and firmness of the sand are easiest to understand.
