Chuncheon National Museum is the best indoor anchor in the city. Its collections cover Gangwon's archaeology, Buddhist material and regional culture, giving context to the mountain province rather than only to Chuncheon itself.
It is a good pairing with a food-focused visit. Spend an hour or two here, then head back toward the centre for dakgalbi with a better sense of where you are.
