Soyang Dam created the broad lake that defines much of Chuncheon's eastern scenery. The structure itself is more engineering than beauty, but the water views and boat connections make it a useful gateway to the mountain side of the city.
It works best as part of a Cheongpyeongsa outing or a drive around the lake. Come only for the dam and you may wonder what the fuss is about.
