Seonyudo is the beach-and-island side of Gunsan, out in the Gogunsan archipelago west of the city. Bridges connect it with neighbouring islands, so you can rent a bicycle and make a loose circuit of beaches, fishing villages, and low viewpoints.
It is busiest in summer, but the setting gives Gunsan a real day-trip option beyond its modern-history core.
