Hongdo Beach sits by the main village and harbour, making it the easiest place on the island to slow down between ferry, boat tour, and walking path. It is not a broad resort beach, but it gives you direct contact with the water after seeing the cliffs from above or offshore.
Use it as a pause rather than the whole reason to visit. Hongdo's real draw is the island setting around it.
