Namdang Port is Hongseong's best coastal stop. It is known for prawns, cockles, flat fish, rock fish, and other Yellow Sea seafood, with restaurants and seasonal food events pulling visitors out to the shore.
Come hungry and time the visit around the coast rather than expecting a postcard fishing village. The appeal is practical: tidal flats, working seafood, and a meal that gives Hongseong a clearer identity than the county town alone.
