Cheongpung Cultural Heritage Complex is the strongest cultural anchor around Jecheon. When Chungju Dam was built in the 1980s, older buildings, stone works, and local artifacts from the area were moved here before the valley was flooded.
The result is part open-air museum and part rescued village. Pavilions, Confucian-school buildings, Buddhist stone figures, and household objects make the drowned Cheongpung area feel less abstract than a lake-view stop alone would.
