Korea Botanic Garden is a flower and plant garden in the mountains near Pyeongchang, with wildflower displays that change from spring into autumn. It is a gentle stop compared with the area's temples, ranches, and ski slopes, and it is especially good if you want a quiet walk and a few easy photographs.
The garden is seasonal by nature, so it is most rewarding in the growing months. Come when the flowers are out; outside that window, put your time into Odaesan National Park or Woljeongsa Temple instead.
