Hyangiram Hermitage

Hyangiram is Yeosu's standout sight, a Buddhist hermitage clinging to the rocky southeastern edge of Dolsan Island. The approach is part of the experience: stone steps, tight passages between boulders, small shrines, and sudden sea views over the islands of Hallyeohaesang National Park.

Come early if you can. The name is often translated as "facing the sun," and sunrise gives the place its most obvious drama.
