Jinnamgwan is a huge single-storey wooden hall built on the site of the Joseon naval command. It is closely tied to Admiral Yi Sun-sin, whose fleet fought Japan from this coast during the Imjin War.
The building is simple and imposing rather than decorative. Visit it with the harbour in mind: this was not a palace hall, but part of a naval city watching a dangerous sea.
